BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

HOW DO I GET THERE?

From the North: Take I-65 S toward Nashville. Keep left at the fork to continue on I-24 E, follow signs for Interstate 24/Interstate 40 E/Chattanooga/Knoxville. Take exit 49 for Shelby Ave. and turn left onto Shelby Ave. Continue onto Korean Veterans Blvd. Turn right onto 1st Ave. S. Venue will be on the right.

Directions vary depending on direction of travel. The venue is located downtown at 310 1st Ave S, Nashville, TN, along the Cumberland River. Please refer to interstate-specific directions on the NDOT website before departing. For more information on directions to Ascend Amphitheater, click here

WHERE SHOULD I ENTER THE VENUE?

Guests may enter through Gate 1 near the Box Office at the northwest corner. A secondary entrance is located at 1st Ave S and Korean Veterans Blvd. VIP guests should use the VIP Entrance located left of the Box Office.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY TICKETS?

Before you head our way, ensure you have access to AXS Mobile ID  

• Get the AXS app if you haven’t already  
• Open the App and sign in to see your tickets.  
• Show the ticket in the App at the entrance and get them scanned to enter.  
• Enjoy the show!

WHAT TIME DO GATES OPEN?

Gates generally open 90 minutes to 2 hours before showtime. Please check your specific event page, as times may vary.

DO YOU OFFER EXPRESS ENTRY?

For select shows, Express Entry upgrades are available. The Express Entry gate is located to the right of the main gates on 1st Avenue, near Gate 2.

HOW IS TRAFFIC CONTROLLED?

Ascend Amphitheater is in downtown Nashville, and traffic can quickly become backed up. Plan to arrive early and give yourself plenty of travel time. For parking information, click here.

WHAT IS YOUR BAG POLICY?

Our bag policy is as follows: we will allow clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote bags no larger than 12”x 6”x 12” and/or small clutch bags (6”x 9”). If your bag is 6”x 9” or smaller, it does not need to be a clear bag. Medical/ diaper bags will be allowed. We intend to search and tag these bags and allow them entry. All bags are subject to search upon entry. Guests have the right to refuse a bag search, and the venue has the right to refuse entry. If you have any items that are not allowed in the venue, please return them to your vehicle.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

We do not have a dedicated parking lot. Guests may utilize nearby paid public parking garages and lots throughout downtown Nashville.

IS THERE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION?

The Nashville MTA offers direct bus service that connects to the venue. For more information on MTA bus lines, visit www.nashvillemta.org or call (615) 862-5950 for convenient stations near Ascend Federal Credit Union Amphitheater.

ONCE YOU'RE HERE

WHERE CAN I FIND A RESTROOM?

Restroom buildings are located on all sides of the seating bowl and at the back of the lawn. Family and accessible restrooms are available throughout the venue.

DO YOU HAVE A LOST AND FOUND?

All lost and found inquiries should be directed to Guest Services. After 30 days, all unclaimed lost and found items will be given to charity. 

IS MERCHANDISE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IN THE VENUE?

Merchandise stands are located on the east side of the venue plaza. All artist merchandise is property of the artist, and the venue has no responsibility related to the craftsmanship or style of any merchandise. Please make sure you check that you have the correct size and there are no defects in the shirt before you walk away from the stand. The venue cannot assist with replacing or refunding any merchandise after the event has ended.

ARE CONCESSIONS AVAILABLE?

Food and beverage concession stands are located on both sides of the seating areas and at the back of the lawn. Outside food is not allowed.

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING ALCOHOL?

Ascend Federal Credit Union Amphitheater offers a wide variety of alcoholic beverages for purchase during your time at the venue. You are not permitted to bring any alcoholic beverages into the venue. A valid and current Driver's License or State ID card is required to purchase alcohol- guests will be required to show ID every time they purchase.

WHAT CREDIT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT?

All main concession stands take Visa / MasterCard / Discover and American Express. All merchandise stands take all major credit cards. We are a cashless venue. 

HOW DOES LAWN SEATING WORK?

The lawn is always first come, first serve. There are no assigned seats on the lawn.

ARE LAWN CHAIRS AVAILABLE TO RENT?

Outside chairs are not permitted. Lawn chairs may be rented onsite or reserved for select events. For more information, click here

Reserve your lawn chairs ahead of time for the best deal! Day-of rentals are available while supplies last.

ARE THERE BABY CHANGING STATIONS?

Baby Changing Stations are located within the men's, women's, and family restrooms around the venue. 

IS RE-ENTRY ALLOWED?

Re-entry is not permitted. Please ensure that everything you will need for the event is brought in with you. If you do leave at any point in the evening- you will not be allowed back in without a new ticket.

SAFETY & SECURITY

WHAT SECURITY PROCEDURES SHOULD I EXPECT?

Guests will pass through weapons detectors, and bags will be searched upon entry. All bags are subject to inspection. If you have a medical reason for not wanting to be searched via metal detectors, please inform one of our security gate staff members so they can offer you an alternative search method to our metal detectors.  Also, please check our bag policy before coming to the venue, to make sure your bag fits our policy guidelines.

HOW IS THE SECURITY ON SITE?

Metro Nashville Police and venue security are present at all events to ensure guest safety. All security personnel can assist with any questions or concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact our on-site staff if any assistance is needed. Your safety and security are most important to us.

WHERE IS FIRST AID LOCATED AND WHAT SHOULD I DO IN A MEDICAL EMERGENCY?

First Aid is located on the west side of the venue near the restrooms and Gate 3. Medical personnel and ambulances are on site during events. If you have a condition that requires you to use a needle for medication while you are here, please do so in our medical office so the syringe can be properly disposed of.  

IS THERE LAW ENFORCEMENT ON SITE?

Local law enforcement are on site for every event and are responsible for directing all traffic into the venue. Duty law enforcement officers are the only individuals able to carry a weapon on our property. We do not allow conceal and carry weapons to be brought onto our property nor we will secure them.

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING GUEST CONDUCT?

Guests are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with venue policy, state and local laws. Any guest that is acting in a manner that venue management deems unsafe can be subject to eviction. If a guest violates a state or local law they will be subject to any tickets or punishment deemed necessary by local law enforcement. Ascend Federal Credit Union Amphitheater reserves the right to deny entry to any guest for any reason or no reason. If a guest is denied entry to any event, such guest will be issued a refund of the face value of the ticket for the event.

GENERAL INFORMATION

WHAT HAPPENS IF WEATHER OCCURS?

All shows will go on rain or shine. However, in the event of severe weather, we will keep our fans notified via our venue socials. 

An event may be delayed, postponed, or canceled depending on the severity of the weather expected.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY?

In the event of an emergency while on site, the venue has trained paramedics to assist with any medical issues. First aid is located on the west side of the venue near the restrooms and Gate 3, but any staff member with a radio can dispatch First Aid to the location needed. Local law enforcement officers are also on-site for every event and can assist if needed or requested.

Venue management works closely with all appropriate emergency agencies and services to ensure that we are up to date on any dangerous weather or potential crowd-related issues. In the event of a weather emergency- we will communicate with guests that are inside of the facility as well as guests on their way to the venue. WHAT DO I DO IN THE EVENT OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY?

We have ambulances on site throughout the duration of the event that can transport guests if needed. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A SHOW CANCELS?

Cancellations will only occur in the event of severe weather, artist cancellation, or an act of God. In the event of a cancellation ticket holders will receive an email from about a potential reschedule that will be made available. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED IN THE VENUE?

Only ADA-defined service animals are permitted inside the venue.

CAN I CAMP AT THE VENUE?

The venue does not allow camping or overnight parking of any kind. 

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN WITH ME?

All of our events are all ages unless stated otherwise. Children 2 and under do not require a ticket, but must sit on a parent's lap.

RESTRICTIONS & PROHIBITIONS

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING GUEST CONDUCT?

Guests are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with venue policy, state, and local laws. Any guest who is acting in a manner that venue management deems unsafe can be subject to eviction. If a guest violates a state or local law, they will be subject to any tickets or punishment deemed necessary by local law enforcement. Ascend Amphitheater reserves the right to deny entry to any guest for any reason or no reason. If a guest is denied entry to any event, such guest will be issued a refund of the face value of the ticket for the event. 

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING BANNERS AND SIGNS?

Signs larger than 8.5 X 11 inches are not allowed in the venue. This size is a standard sheet of paper. All signs must display images or words suitable for all ages.

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES FOR MASKS AND FACE PAINT?

Masks covering the face are NOT allowed while entering the venue or purchasing items at concessions. Any face covering must be removable upon request. Face paint is allowed, but it should NOT be gory, inappropriate, or alter your face to the point of unrecognition. Your face must be able to be matched to your ID at concessions if you intend to purchase alcohol.  You cannot bring face paint into the venue.

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING CAMERAS?

SUBJECT TO CHANGE: The standard venue policy allows camera phones, disposable cameras, and small digital cameras. Any camera that has a detachable lens will be considered professional and not allowed in. If the camera lens zooms out of the camera more than 1 inch it will be considered a professional camera and will not be allowed in. No 35mm professional film cameras are allowed. Some artists do not permit cameras, so please check back for the show you will be attending to ensure that we will be allowing cameras in.

WHAT ARE YOUR CELL PHONE POLICIES?

Generally, cell phones are permitted in the venue. On occasion, such as a comedy show, cell phone usage may not be allowed due to artist requests.

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES ON AUDIO TAPING?

Some shows do allow audio recording, so please contact us prior to the event you are attending to confirm if this will be allowed.

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING WEAPONS?

The venue does not allow weapons of any kind in the venue. No patron will be allowed to enter the venue with a weapon. The venue will not secure weapons and will not take responsibility for any weapons left in vehicles.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED?

We have a designated smoking area located along the riverside sidewalk, past the lawn purple chair rental container. Violation of the smoking policy will result in ejection without refund.

WHAT ITEMS DO YOU ALLOW IN THE VENUE?

Varies by show. Please check the Day of Show Information tab for updates pertaining to a specific show, as all permitted items are subject to change at the tour's request. 
We allow:

  • Bags: We have implemented the following bag policy: we will allow clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small clutch bags (6”x 9”) that do not need to be clear. No other bags of any type will be allowed.
  • Small Blankets/Beach towels (no larger than 3'x5')
  • Breast Pumps
  • Fans/neck fans
  • Stadium cushions - must be backless and legless
  • Cameras – nonprofessional only, no detachable lenses

Weapons, noncompliant bags, outside alcohol, outside food and drink, aerosol cans, professional cameras, and strollers are not permitted.

  • Illegal drugs/substances  

  • Strollers  

  • Car seats   

  • Picnic baskets  

  • Glass containers

Strollers are not permitted due to there being nowhere for them to be stored.

Umbrellas are never permitted in the venue.
