Van Morrison to headline AmericanaFest
It's been eight years since Van Morrison played Nashville, but the singer-songwriter, known for classics like "Moondance," "Brown Eyed Girl" "Into the Mystic" and "Tupelo Honey," is scheduled to return this fall.
On Sept. 14, he'll play Ascend Amphitheater; the show is part of the annual Americana Music Festival and Conference, a six-day celebration of roots music. Morrison will also be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting during the 2017 Americana Honors and Awards Ceremony at the Ryman Auditorium the day before the Ascend concert.
Tickets for the Sept. 14 show go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. May 19 via ascendamphitheater.com. Members of the Americana Music Association and conference registrants will have access to a presale beginning May 16.
