For the first time in years, Nashville "parrotheads" will get to see their favorite singer under the stars.

Jimmy Buffett will perform at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater on May 26. The show is part of the laid-back singer's "I Don't Know Tour" with his Coral Reefer Band.

Tickets are $59.50-$166 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 19 via Ticketmaster.

After the closing of Starwood Amphitheatre in 2007, Nashville was without an amphitheater concert venue for several years — and few tours made that fact more glaring than Buffett's.

In recent years, his tours of mostly outdoor venues would move inside when they came to Nashville. His past three concerts here were at Bridgestone Arena in 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Buffett was also seen on stage at Ryman Auditorium last week, making a surprise appearance with Jenny Lewis, The Watson Twins and M. Ward to sing "Handle With Care" by the Traveling Wilburys.
